Excel has both Power Query and VBA. It would powerful to also have a programming language and interface for PowerBI Desktop to help in auto generation of M Language queries and also interacting with the report and dashboard objects. This could be using TypeScript so you have the custom visuals and also the DOM as an available object to build things like user input forms that can then be passed to the Query M Language to make queries more dynamic.
