Private Link for Fabric SQL endpoints

I'm working with a security-first organization and the dependency on the internet for querying Fabric data is a concern. I initially thought that Private Link is available to Fabric, and it is, but the ability to assign a private IP address to a Fabric Lakehouse or Warehouse is not. I don't see this on the roadmap at https://aka.ms/fabricroadmap, but I really think it should be.
