Prevent refresh when in query designer

The query designer takes a long time on slow data sources. When designing the query, a automatically refresh takes a long time. A manual refresh would be preferable. Or by an option in the designer

Why PBI desktop refreshes the query when I just rename the step? or rename the column? I didn't apply any transforming operations... Why is it loading the data again? Please make refreshing more clever.

Yes! It is a real pain to wait for refresh to complete when I just want to make a little change.

Maybe this could be implemented with a Development Mode toggle that would also allow to display all the requests at once in a VSCode like editor.
