i have recently migrated a dashboard from Qlik Sense to PowerBI.
whilst migrating i have attempted in multiple ways to aply a Mappingload as its called in Qlik.
in simpler terms to change the value of a value with a different value by way of using a slicer.
there were 2 uses for this, one of which was to change the language of the KPI's i have, and the other was to change the language within the Table, so the sites could export the data within there local language, which helps as english isn't a requirement at some sites.
from the testing i have done and from the forms i have gone thrue, it seems that its not possible to directly one for one replace a value with a different value based on a match. i have used a table with the 1*1 relation to have the english used to connect the further tables, to then swap between the tables to display the table that has the correct language, and this wipes the colum out, as it loses its relation. and there is no real command to use slicers to replace what value there is within. hence why i would really like to have the functionality, to call for a Mappingload. or however you want to call it in DAX at that point.
