We have E3 licenses so we have access to run STANDARD Connectors in Power Apps and hence we can create simple forms that are embedded in Power BI using the likes of SharePoint.
Unfortunately the only way to get that immediate feedback in Power BI is to use a DirectQuery source; such as SQL and they are PREMIUM connectors in Power Platform. This is where it becomes prohibitively expensive as we'd need to procure Power Apps licenses per user at $20/£15
Microsoft are promoting the ability to embed Power Apps in Power BI and are promoting the immediate feedback but not yet providing a realistic licensing option.
The think in most situations that embedded Power Apps in Power Bi will be simple forms and hence not full blown applications. Our use cases are simple but powerful - eg comments/notes/feedback based on specific PBI data. Fixing data issues (or notifying) within Power BI.
Please consider providing the ability to use connectors that equate to Power BI DirectQuery sources for embedded Power Apps in Power BI as part of either Power Bi Premium (Premium/user) or as part of the E3 licensing.
Having the ability to get simple 2 way interaction embedded within Power BI is a game changer but just out of reach at the moment.
