Power Query: Make it easier to connect to files on OneDrive and SharePoint

Connecting to files stored on OneDrive and SharePoint is a difficult and confusing experience. While it is possible, it is far too difficult. As more and more move to working in an online environment we need a simple way of connecting.

It's indeed a huge pain point to figure out the right path to connect to OneDrive Personal/Business and SharePoint. MSFT really need to come out a seamless solution ASAP!

It won't let me see the captcha on the vote button, so I can't vote, but yes... this is totally needed to make super simple.

Agreed. I wrote a long rant on the user forum about how poor this experience is. I really can't see why PowerBi shouldn't be able to recognise from the path structure that a file is actually a local sync of a onedrive file and then offer to use the online version as the source.

Can't believe the process of connecting to OneDrive and SharePoint isn't more straight forward or transparent. It has to be the quickest area of productivity gain for so many users (developers or otherwise). Make it happen soon!
