Being able to intergrade Power BI dashboards and reports into a Power Point deck will allow Power BI leapfrog the competition as a solid differentiation play and also in terms of value to end users.

- abhishek_sreesaNew MemberYes, I agree. "Story telling" has been big part of data visualization tools in 2014 and hence Power Point Integration will become one of its "power"ful features.
- ChasinInsightMicrosoft EmployeeThis is a huge differentiator to our competition and gets great support when showing to the business users as they are very familiar with screenshoting pivot tables into powerpoint.
- Steve54New MemberThe current versions of Power View for SharePoint allow a user to export the report to Power Point but you have to be able to connect to the back end data to be able to use it. This means that if I save to Power Point and then email the file to someone who does not have rights then they will not be able to see anything. If this were to be done it would be nice if I had the ability to choose if I wanted the data to be live or static, and then I would be able to share the file to whomever I wanted.
- cconche1New MemberThis a a huge differentiator. If Microsoft cannot do that, who can do that ...
- jim_ganskyNew MemberThe ability to embed charts and pivots built in Power BI into Power Point will be critical. The reality is executives still want PPT presentations with commentary instead of a dashboard.
- rlansingResolver IIt would be great to pin or link items from a dashboard or report to a PowerPoint, which could update like any other link, saving a lot of admin time.
- jm9810New MemberAny update on this? Will the GA launch be including this? Yes, I agree... crucial feature to really get mass adoption to a tool like this. Especially given that you can't copy/paste individual charts, you have to use a snipping tool. So at least getting exports to ppt would really help!
- nhemidyNew MemberHi Microsoft, any update on this? As other said, this is crucial. Have a great day, love what you do
- smyers1New MemberNeed exports. I can show reports to customers but have no way of sending a copy to them
