Power Map integration

Power BI designer should integrate Power Map design experience, don't let Power Map just like a stand-along part of Power BI...

Even with the Shape Map control the mapping in Power BI is very limited compared to Power Map. We need the ability to be able to add large custom region files into the mapping as you can we Power Map. The lack of being able to customise the data in mapping is a major issue.

Power Map would be nice but much more important would be the ability to combine map layers based on WMS or WFS services. These services contain loads of map based data. Esri Insights will be otherwise an important competitor of Power BI when maps are important.

The map pointing to local or preconfigured special maps is critical to my customer. Approximately 80,000 users and a total revenue of 45 million a year/year needs to have this addon to BI ASAP. thank you, Alex

GOV networks may not have the ability to connect to Bing maps due to security concerns. We have developed applications around local mapping resources and have invested millions in this capability

Government customers who need to point to local maps need this capability. Having a coordinated story between PowerMap and Power BI Desktop is also extremely important.

Layers on maps are an essential feature needed on Power BI

Regarding maps - I would like the ability to handle many more data points than maps can currently, have map layers, and include temporal capability to see changes over time. The current mapping is limited, does not scale well and offers no temporal capability from a playback perspective.

It would be great to be able to import Map Point capabilities into Power BI

This would be a great addition to Power BI. The Esri and Mapbox maps are OK but have limitations. Mapping is still a feature that needs a better native solution in Power BI. This idea would certainly do this.

None of the new mapping features for Power BI are able to offer as much as Power Maps in Excel offers. Please MS bring Power Maps inot Power BI.
