As a report developer for decades, I still get requirements for new reports that state the obvious "allow the user to export the data to Excel". Now that the browser version of Excel is so close to the app version, it seems to me that Power BI could just create an "Excel" visualization type that is essentially just the browser based Excel and allow users to interact with the data on screen (include a Save button).
