Power BI Template File (.pbit file) shows no parameter window

I have successfully create a Power BI Desktop report and exported it as a Template File. When I tested it, it correctly prompted me for entering the value of the parameter at start up. However, when I shared the template file with a colleague and when she open the file, the parameter window did not show up. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Thanks for your reply, Chuck! I've made a source parameter so that when the end user opens the template file, he or she is prompted to enter the path of the data folder. Yes, I'm sure that I'm passing the PBIT file and not the PBIX. I asked my colleague, who was experiencing the issue, to try and import the template file instead of simply opening it by double-clicking on it., and this time it worked. After that she tried to open it by double-clicking and then this worked too. It seem to be an "occasional" issue. If nobody else is experiencing this, it might be a local problem.

Hello, I tried this with two other people and it is working for them. What are you doing w/ the parameter? Are you sure you are sending the PBIT and not the PBIX? Thanks Chuck
