Power BI - Service Now | Connector

ServiceNow is a widely used enterprise service management platform, and many customers rely on Power BI and Microsoft Fabric to analyze this data. Today, integrating ServiceNow with Power BI usually requires custom connectors, REST API work, or third‑party tools, which adds complexity, maintenance effort, and support challenges.

A native, Microsoft‑supported Power BI Service connector for ServiceNow would save significant time and cost, improve reliability and governance, and make it easier for organizations to adopt Power BI and Fabric at scale. This connector would allow customers to focus on insights and decision‑making instead of building and maintaining custom integrations.

We use the ServiceNow Connector with the Fabric CopyJob Item which works well in our case. Data is stored in a Lakehouse with OneLake Security Roles to grant access. PowerBI is connected to the Lakehouse. Would this solve your topic as well? Our biggest pain with the described setup is that the connector is not capable of CDC which is why we scheduled it to every 4 hours. Also Lakehouse Shortcut would be amazing to have for this source.
