Power BI Search

My customer requested to have search capability where end user can search using Keyword across all the asset of Power BI – Dashboards, Reports, Data sets, and Queries. They don’t want people to re-invent the wheel and re-create bunch of reports and dashboards. Instead they want to allow to search for it and if its available, they can request access to that report of dashboard to the owner of that report. Similar to SharePoint Online search. Perhaps Azure Search can be part of this capability?

I totally agree, for our organisation it is a little bit more complicated. We are on premium and share our content through Apps. What we would like is for users to be able to search for reports and dashboards but only show the ones they have access to. I know there is a very similar feature in the windows 10 power bi app to search however here it shows both the report in the app and the report in the workspace - which they can't access.

I would love it if I could get into a workspace and keyword search through all collateral in that workspace. we end up reinventing a lot of the same work because we don't know it exists/ other analysts have created reporting with that data.
