Power BI Lite License

Power BI should have a Lite License for people that only consume dashboards or reports every now and then. This is for people that don't create reports but need to see the dashboards and may need to use the "report level" to be able to export output to PowerPoint (since you can't export the dashboard to PowerPoint but can only do it at Report level).

this change with no warning, the neww pricing structure will mean we will definitely revisit the market and look for other products.

To echo something someone else said...my organization has several hundred users. We like Power BI, and we have O365 with Power BI Pro licenses. Nice! However, we want to publish (to the Power BI Service) datasets that are larger than 1 GB. So, initially, I was excited to hear about Power BI Premium -- which would allow us to have larger datasets! And it adds sharing options we want, too, like for external audiences. But then I was disappointed when I saw the price point! A single "P1 node" would suffice for us. But $5k per month is pretty far out of our budget.

This view only/ consumer only license is a must - please update if this in the near future or not as this will effect the future of Power BI in our organization

Looks like there is quite a lot of negative feedback here... oh no! Thing is, they'll be a reason behind why they've done what they've done, maybe there is something new on the horizon which will soon been bought to light who knows. They wouldn't have done something this impacting especially to a relatively new product with such a large user base. Keep going guys, sure you'll smash something new out 🙂

If the organization has a 365 e2 or e3 license, PowerBI should be a LITE feature, so that people can VIEW the dashboards. They are already paying for Office. Only the builders should buy a Pro version.

My suggestions would be for this Lite Licence / Pure Viewer licence, no mobile, no pin your own dashboards, no Q&A

'+1 To this. Ruined the whole idea of pay as you go
