Dear Power BI Team,
As a frequent user of Power BI Desktop, I’d like to suggest a usability improvement regarding the Size and Position properties of visual objects.
Currently, adjusting these properties requires expanding the Format Visual > General > Properties section every time a new visual is selected. This is especially tedious when working with multiple visuals and repeatedly needing to fine-tune their dimensions and layout. The panel often collapses automatically upon selecting another visual, requiring extra clicks and friction during design workflows.
Suggestion:
Please consider moving the Size and Position controls to a persistent location in the top ribbon, similar to how alignment and layering tools are exposed. Alternatively, allow users to pin these properties so they remain open across visual selections.
Benefits:
Speeds up dashboard layout work dramatically.
Reduces repetitive UI navigation.
Improves the overall UX, especially for pixel-perfect report creators.
This small change would have a big impact on productivity and user satisfaction.
