We have SQL queries that returned billions of data and took hours to complete. Passing runtime parameter in source sql will help to reduce the data on Power BI and will improve the performance. And give more flexibility to end users to pass the values run time. Paginated Report have this functionality but there are many other limitations. Please vote if you also want this to be implemented in Power BI.
