Parameter - direct query

Please update power BI with the parameter passing directly to the query (Similar to SSRS or Tableau) . I have PBI for this reason alone and I am pitching my Boss to move back to Tableau, if this does not happen in next 3 months. Sorry, PBI sucks for this reason.
