Organizational Authentication for Enterprise Gateway

Enable Organization Authentication in the Enterprise Gateway. Currently any pbix in which I call an on-premises data source and one in either CRM Online or Sharepoint Online cannot use this enterprise gateway. This is a very regular occurrence, since I support a lot of CRM Online instances. Instead I have to continue to "rely" on the very unreliable Personal Gateway running on my laptop.

I was adviced to use the Personal Gateway in the mean time. There is no ETA defined yet for the solution, so we need to vote on this one!!

This limitation makes it impractical to use SharePoint\OneDrive as the location where we store excel files that need to be used as data sources.

Given the last comment on this one was June/2017, I'm beginning to wonder if this idea is still active. I'm trying to set up a gateway data source to refresh a PBI connected to several SharePoint files and keep getting an invalid credentials error. I've tried several different variations on the ID, but still no luck Can someone verify if the enterprise gateway can't be used to refresh a PBI connected to SharePoint files?
