Optionally remove focus mode box

Provide option to remove the focus mode border. This has the effect of messing up the experience of the report in most cases. If I want to allow focus mode on a detailed chart, then I can enable it. But in most cases it is extra UI baggage

We provided the ability to turn off the visual header box in the March 2018 release! This will hide the focus mode icon across your visuals. https://powerbi.microsoft.com/es-es/blog/power-bi-desktop-march-2018-feature-summary/#visualHeader

I think the focus mode in text boxes / images / shapes is useless and confuses the display

Yes! Even recently one of client also not liking it, there has to be some option to enable and disable it such as I am showing today date on dashboard which not required any focus mode, but focus mode still avaialble which not good. Please work on it and provide some option to enable and disable it. Thank you.

This should be an optional configuration allowing the report designer to decide whether to have the bounding box or not on each visualisation. It should also allow for the removal of the transparency effect on visualisations as well when given focus. This is an extremely important issue when making some intricate and design focused reports as it distracts from the user experience. Especially, as the same UX effects inconceivably exist around added image and text visuals.

Whenever I click on a visual, it shows the outline. It looks very unprofessional on a dashboard. Please consider adding a feature to disable outlines when not in edit mode. Thank you.

Yes. This is much needed for overall user experience. Do we know if this will be planned any soon?

Yes! I think this is extremely needed to improve user experience when navigating and exploring. It is confusing for users and is not adding any value in the big majority of use cases.

I agree this is worth considering. In meeting I had people questioning me about the focus mode border appearing in the dashboard. While they're there for good intents I think opt-out would make it even more useful.

Please just let us turn this off! I do understand the focus mode (even though it should be optional) but the borders? What purpose do they have? I often end up designing my visuals with a permanent border just sort of to hide the on-hover border. My suggestion is to give us the possibility to turn off the border and the possibility to turn of the focus mode options. Also, how about designing it so that the focus mode (and other option icons) is displayed when clicking on the visual, not just when hovering?

Please give the option to remove this. Looks so poor when using on tablet
