Allow me to open a file as read-only

Allow to Save File as read-Only. So, if shared a PBIX file no one can manipulate the reports. Only allow dataset to be refreshed.

To expand on this, it would be really useful in an environment like ours where a team of users might be editing dashboards on behalf of a company and would avoid lengthy edits being lost due to no notification of another user using the file.

I want users in the organization to not do any editing or changes to the dashboards, so read-only feature will be of great assistance.

I think you mean password for the pbix file itself. Agree. There are many other similar suggestions with many more votes. If you have not vote on those pls search and vote so other similar requests get approved.

This is a critical feature that will prevent multiple users from making changes to a pbix file simultaneously. Also, when a user opens a pbix, it should open the file exclusively if no other users have it open. If a user opens a pbix that is already opened by another user, they should receive a notification and be allowed to open the file as read-only (common behavior in Excel, Word, etc.).
