Give the Power BI mobile app (whether iOS or Windows) the ability to render and interact with a workbook offline. This would truly have an impact on the Mobile BI story, otherwise you cannot be truly mobile if an internet connection is a prerequisite. Customers are mentioning that competitor products have this capability in their mobile apps. I would suggest giving a user the ability to enable/disable offline capability for a workbook/report or group of them. Or give the app the ability to download offline copies/snapshots of a workbook in the background based on a custom schedule or existing data refresh config. Obviously certain functions would need to be limited for offline mode, but at least a user would have access to certain data and basic functions without the need for an internet connection when travelling etc.

- I completely agree with this and personally encountered the issue when I could not show the Power BI capabilities to a co-worker during the flight but the Roambi and SalesForce Analytics apps worked fine offline.

- I have worked with executive finance analytics for ages and the most of dashboards are updated by month. Sometimes weekly.. Offline reporting is essential

- I concur, this is make or break requirement for our business. The option to be able use this on an i-pad offline is a essential for our reps which may be stuck in a 3rd party warehouse in the middle east without a wifi / phone signal.

After uploading Power BI Reports onto PBI Report Server, colleagues and customers are asking for an offline mode / flight mode for viewing reports during a flight e.g. Actually we connect to PBI Report Server via VPN tunnel (connecting to our company network) Is there anything planned for the future.
