Number formatting

The number formatting should be in accordance with excel. The options available in excel for number formatting is quite brilliant. I hope Power BI can somehow integrate custom number formatting in the desktop version. Thank you.

It seems that currently there is no option that would simply add a bracket to negative numbers for formatting purposes. Please add this as I believe a lot of people need this simple formatting feature. Thanks.

Parentheses should be a standard numerical formatting option and red being an additional (non-mutually-exclusive) option. Parentheses are only currently available under US Currency, but should be made available to all numerical options (e.g. Decimal, %'s &c.)

Power Bi should be available to create a custom unit format like (w) in electricity power!

This is desperately needed. It's the biggest barrier to creating clear reporting.

(This is for when displaying the figures in a table in a report/dashboard) - OP

(e.g. 12.6% to display as +12.6%) Currently possible in excel. With power bi the only workaround is to format the field as text which losses the numeric value of the figure if also using in charts.

The Tool is very good but I think the custom dataform is missing. For this, the system limits the use of standard formats.
