Number formatting options on Matirx and Table visualizations

I would like to be able to customize the way numbers appear in the table and matrix visualizations. For instance I want to be able to display 11,458,231 as 11.46M

Ditto! Struggling to believe how hard it is to change number formats in tables - should be right click, options, change to percent or scientific or... Like Qlikview 😉

Coming from excel our finance people want to see numbers with the following format: #.##0_];[Red](#.##0);- I really miss the custom number format option..

Please implement this with the infinite flexibility of the current Excel implementation. Also, as a base functionality for the Currency format (when US$ is selected), you need to add the additional space at right on non-negative numbers so the decimal points line up whether the number is positive or negative and you need to left-justify the dollar sign.

Please! would also like to see the ability to show negative numbers within a matrix/table in red (as anonymous mentioned already) Options like this: http://bettersolutions.com/excel/formatting/number-tab-currency-format.htm

I completely agree with ML below - we NEED "Excel" level formatting like "yesterday"!

I'm kind of new to PowerBI, but can't most of this be done by adding a column/measure and using the DAX FORMAT function? (except the one with [Red] that is.)

Seriously Microsoft? No option to format numbers in 2017? Come on.

Number formatting should be part of the basic functionality in tools like PBI. I want the whole box and dice a la Excel but just red negatives and decimal place control would be a good start. Apparently you can do stuff by mucking around in the data model but that doesn't seem to be an option if the data source is an SSAS cube or tabular model unless you make the changes in SSAS. I'm hoping that I someone will prove me incorrect.

Why we are not able to make display 11,458,231 as 11.46M only in Matrix or Table, where we mostly require. Please allow us to make changes on Display Unit to Auto, None, Thousand, Million or Billion like other visualisation. Hope on your action.
