Not able to sign in to Power BI Desktop

Hi, I created a report and would like to publish it, but in order to publish it i need to sign in. When i try and sign in a script error appears and then the sign in box just hangs. I can sign in to the power bi website and everything its just the desktop app that is giving this error, please can you assist.
