New App Navigation Pane - Put a section within a section

- margreet_beersNew MemberYes please, I'm patiently waiting for this feature
- Danny_VermeulenNew MemberWith the possibility to add dashboards and reports in the app, having only one layer of sections is a bit thin. Would be good to have the possibility of several layers of sections to distinguish where reports and/or dashboards can be grouped under but it would for example also be possible to create subsections by workstream or brand names, etc possibilities are very limited now with only a single layer of sections
- Sean_Polk2New MemberThis is one of those necessary obvious things that should not have to wait 5000 votes to be implemented
- domenic_forgionNew MemberIts 2021, and nothing yet! this is a serious limitation from the On Prem capabilities where you can create a multitude of nested folder.
- AndrzejCiupinskNew MemberI think, that it's a must-have! We have a huge report for entire organization, with regions. Now multiple reports for each plant are organized within the same section, which is a nightmare to find. The only alternative is to make huge all-in-one reports for each plant, which is quite difficult to handle and a nightmare to update.
- qazure-appadminNew MemberI want to add a subsection within a report. so that a few pages are in one section and other pages are in a different section. But now a report is shown as a whole object and I can't expand it and do a section or subsection inside the app

Is it seriously now almost 2023 and the most simple of hierarchal menu ideas that was probably implemented in COBOL in 1960 didn't make it into the initial design of this and STILL isn't done? Am I missing something like an update?
I don't know who is telling the PowerBI team to waste time on completely useless garbage like "you frequently open this" and "coworker opened that" when there are actual useful things the community has asked for that just does not get done. Can't wait for the 12th redesign of the interface by UI engineers that don't actually USE the product. Pretty much like making Excel's interface a total piece of junk back in 2010 or 2013.
You can't make stupid people smart and making smart tools stupid just wastes the time of people who actually have to do analytics.

Only a few months from 2024 and still no luck here... Come on, Microsoft. An incredibly simple update that would probably take one of your developers 5 minutes to churn out. We beg of you!

Not far off 5 years since this was posted.
App organisation for end users is woefully poor and must impact their engagement with PowerBI in general. Audiences helped to some degree but being able to use sub-sections is crucial to effective navigation in the app.
