Need tutorials / examples to help selection of effective Visualisations

Although it's very easy to actually drag and drop to create visuals I think there needs to be more assistance in the form of examples which would help you to choose the most appropriate visual to convey your message. The art is in creating effective, meaningful BI visualisations, not necessarily speedy ones
