Need to gain access to the cloud connection as a Fabric Admin

As a Fabric Admin, we noticed there are restrictions when it comes to accessing cloud connections throughout our Microsoft Fabric environment. Access is controlled by ownership and specific permissions, which means even Fabric Admins can’t view or manage these connections unless they’re given explicit access. This can make it challenging to troubleshoot, audit, or assist users in different departments efficiently.

It would be nice to allow Admins to see all the cloud connections across the tenant from within the UI.

But, at least we need an Admin level "List Connections" that can see all the connections, not just the ones to which the caller has permissions.

In addition, the API should expand from current capability and return a more ConnectionDetails for certain credentialtypes. For example, for Service Principal authentication, it should provide the "Service Principal ID" so we can monitor which connections are using which service principals.

This is a no brainer. Why on earth would the Tenant admin not be able to see everything. I know I'm expected to know everything about the Tenant and to have a blind spot just doesnt make sense.

This is a much needed feature that causes a lot of issues when users quit the organization and pipelines stop working because that user forgot to share the connection with other people on the team. And embarassing when the tenant admin does not have access to even see that connection! Based on true story!

The admin of connections needs lots of love. There are many other ideas related to enhancing the ability for Admins to manage and monitor connections. And this list is only in the first 150 of 2,400+ results when searching the ideas site!

While we're on the topic of connections. Change the UI when connecting to a new source so that first option is to select an existing connection instead of having to enter the connection details and THEN seeing a list of matching connections.

This is very much needed if someone creates a prod cloud connection without granting other access, then leave you will never be able to access and edit the connection, like changing an expired secret...

This is badly needed for orphaned connections. There is no way to consolidate and remove stale connections without this functionality. From a administration perspective, this is a huge gap.
