The current load indicator (the small spinner in the upper left of reports) isn't really sufficient for users. On our larger reports, which can take a while to load, the user sees a large empty area where we'll the report will eventually render the visuals. Users aren't seeing the small spinner so they think something's wrong. If they're patient enough, they'll eventually see the report visuals load correctly. It would be great if we had more control over the "loading" state. Ideally, we'd obscure the visuals with a "Loading. Please Wait." overlay. Something along those lines.

- fbcideas_migusrNew MemberThis is a great idea. Even the spinner wasn't enough for some end-users to know when the filter was applied and I would have to train them on that. Greying out the visual until the data is ready is so intuitive that it would require no training for the end users to understand.
- luke_beaconNew MemberAgreed - this has caused issues with my users on multiple occasions - generally less PBI literate people who cannot see the loading icon and don't realise that their actions are still pending. They often then refresh the page, try again, or do something that makes them frustrated and ditch it.
- mithil_mehtaNew MemberAgreed. This is important for our clients. Clients assume that dashboard crash because it didnt show data in few seconds. So, they keep refreshing Power BI report. So, probably Microsoft has to put image like loading with text.
- pbiideas1New MemberPlease can we have this feature? On a dark theme with many small items, the loading indicator is almost invisible.

- niklas_mollerNew MemberAt a minimum I would want the spinning dots to be positioned centered in the middle of the visual, and also featured more prominently so that they are more easily seen. Ie increase the size of the whole spinning graphics thing. Also, if the visual for some reason is dark, the color of the spinning dots need to be inversed so that they are seen and dont just blur into the dark background.
