Microsoft document update request - OneLake with Azure Storage Explorer
Hi team,
Greetings!!
We recently encountered an issue while trying to connect to OneLake using Azure Storage Explorer. After spending significant time troubleshooting and even raising a support case with Microsoft, I was able to identify the root cause and fix it.
The issue was related to a tenant setting that needed to be enabled. Specifically, the setting “Users can access data stored in OneLake with apps external to Fabric” had to be turned on. Once this was configured, I was able to successfully access the OneLake files and tables through Azure Storage Explorer.
Unfortunately this document "https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/onelake/onelake-azure-storage-explorer" doesn't include Prerequisites about tenant setting requirement.
Identifying the root cause would have been quicker if the document had included the prerequisites. I suggest whether Microsoft can add a 'Prerequisites' section to the document, as this would help other customers facing similar issues.
Thank you!
