Microsoft Word POWER BI Add-on

Other than the Devscope Power BI addon which does not work the way I expected, Can Microsoft provide a POWER BI Add-on which allows us to insert or copy a particular visual into the word document? I'd like to copy paste a particular chart/graph from power BI web/desktop like we can copy graphs from Excel into Word. I tried to export the Power BI report into a powerpoint file but since we have over 15 pages in this PBI Report this was not allowed. Surely Microsoft can provide this integration between their own products? I have been using Snagit to copy-paste visuals into a 60 page report, and it's very time consuming. I would appreciate a quicker way to get these visuals into a report.

I agree, this would really allow me to maximize PowerBI. I want to share with schools their student achievement levels in using our online learning system.

I also agree, this would be an excellent function - it seems quite constrained that you can only export to Powerpoint. I would also like the ability to save as PDF

Agreed. Word integration would get us closer to something like a markdown document.

I hope this idea came across properly. A visual would tell the story better, for example a field might have 135 characters in it, so when you export to excel all those are in one cell, but if we could export to Word, the presentation would be much better, thanks much.

I have a PBI report using a Word Cloud and narratives from an Excel file. The Word Cloud has about 15 categories and is interactive with Narratives showing explanations for the items in my Word Cloud. So when users want to download the narratives for a specific word, it loads into one cell in Excel which makes presentation of the data difficult to read. Some of the narratives are over 100 words so when it shows up in a cell, it is a problem.

This seems like a no brainer - I don't want to pay for third party tools (I've no doubt DevScape do a good job) when I pay for Power BI already - and it seems like such an obvious win for MS that I can't believe it doesn't do it out of the box. Not all consumers are happy with using a dashboard - with this I could template a report easily.

Most of our users snip data and put it in a powerpoint or word document to create presentations and data stories. Having live, up-to-date would save them lot's of time in doing non-value add tasks (eg setting filters, snipping data visuals, etc) and allow them to focus on the value add of deriving insights.
