Make power BI desktop fully compatible with ARM CPU, such as snapdragon

Considering the most powerful and versatile machines are being built on ARM processors and many developers preferring these machines due to the extended battery life, or performance per watt, I think it would be critical for Microsoft to start developing Power BI Desktop to be fully compatible with ARM64 processors. Windows ARM with a snapdragon processor is a great machine. It is where all machines are going. It's time for Power BI Desktop to get up to speed with everything else.

Power BI Desktop should be supported on ARM64 based processors, or at the very least, officially supported via Prism. Microsoft sell ARM64 devices in Surface, so it certainly seems unreasonable that a core business product such as Power BI is easily written off due to ARM64 not being on the minimum requirements list. Future buyers beware - your mileage may vary with Power BI Desktop on Windows ARM (including OSX hosted VM). Consider whether you can afford to not run Power BI Desktop locally as it is not officially supported.

I lobbied my IT department to purchase a fully loaded Surface Laptop 7 fully expecting Microsoft to lean into their ambitions for transitioning to ARM64. I agree with the original post; this is core business software in 2025, and I am struggling to connect how Microsoft’s creative vision for industry leading hardware is leaving behind such a significant gap.

Microsoft should not be producing Windows on ARM if they aren't going to support their own software on the platform. The below error is preventing me from using my machine. I'm on a Snapdragon X Windows machine. Very dissapointed. https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Issues/March-2025-Update-Error-fetching-data-for-this-visu...
