In most of my reports, I let users filter the data using matrices instead of slicers. When using ”Drill down” this works very well and removes the need for separate slicers, thus saving space for more valuable visuals. It would be great if the same filtering could be achieved WITHOUT drill down as well, e.g. by having the small squares/circles of the slicer available in the matrix (or table). Checking these would apply a kind of ”locked” crossfilter. I know that holding the CTRL key allows users to apply multiple crossfilters but this is too easily forgotten after which all earlier crossfilters are lost.
