Lock Map location and zoom once

I would like to lock the location and zoom instead of always going back to the default view of the whole globe. This will apply both for Report and Dashboards.

Maps are a struggle without this. And why not let the user zoom out when they want not when the map decides?

This is very important for us. We're thinking "we can't put a dashboard in front of the customer where the map implodes every time you click on something". Which is what is happening.

Tableau's map doesn't implode when you click on things outside of the map. 🙂

I third this! The auto reset to full world view setting is annoying!

Maps tend to lose impact without this feature - the eye is drawn to a zooming map rather than the data visualisation you want. Please change.

This is beyond annoying. Makes the map feature almost useless for executive meetings.
