This must become a higher priority, the needs for additional reporting capabilities within existing Office licenses is necessary! Power BI reporting for Planner will also enable the ability to add customs fields (another Planner shortcoming) for data which is a must - I do not have the ability to "sell" your product within my company as it lacks these features compared to your competitors.

Given inferior Planner reporting, seems a good idea! Also, seems to use CDM, so should be (relatively) straightforward?
