Lakehouse Delta Table Not Accessible in Notebooks (But Available via SQL Endpoint)

Description:
In Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, I created a Delta table that is fully accessible via the SQL Endpoint. However, when I try to access the same table from within a notebook, I receive a “table does not exist” error. This inconsistency is problematic, especially during data engineering workflows.

Details:

  • The table exists and can be queried successfully using the SQL Endpoint.
  • The issue only occurs when accessing the table from a notebook.
  • The workspace name may contain special characters.
  • I understand that Lakehouse features are still in preview, but this behavior disrupts the user experience.

Suggestion:
It would be helpful if the notebook interface used the same access logic as the SQL Endpoint or at least provided clearer error messages. Additionally, clarification on whether special characters in workspace names contribute to this issue would be appreciated.
