Installer Behavior Concern: WebView2 Reinstallation Despite Latest Version
Hi,
I was wondering if there might be a way—perhaps a command-line switch—to install Power BI Desktop x64 without triggering a reinstallation or update of WebView2, especially when the latest version is already present on the system.
So far, this is the only installer we've encountered that attempts to update WebView2 even when it's already up to date.
It would be incredibly helpful if the installer could either detect and respect the existing installation or offer a switch to skip this step.
Thank you for considering this request, and we appreciate any guidance or future improvements you can provide.
