Improved Git error messages

Hi team,

Currently, when getting an error during a Git sync or commit, the errors are usually quite cryptic and don't allow for much troubleshooting. It would be ideal if instead of an error code for the support team to review, we could get as developers a better idea of what is causing trouble.

Hi, one way to see the actual error can be to open the developer mode console and see the response that the api returns.
