There is no working editor today in Data Tools /Visual Studio. We need one with IntelliSense and syntax checking that do not erase everything when something is wrong.

- Indeed! And furthermore, it would be nice to have a DAX extension for Visual Studio Code, and also an editor for the regular Visual Studio that would improve on what DAX Studio already does. Especially the ability to monitor in real time what the different engines are doing when executing a query. DAX Studio is a good step forward, but needs significant usability improvements.
