Improve Bookmark Pane Usability: Persistent Menus, Copy/Duplicate, Selection Behavior, Nested Groups
Description:
Power BI's interface for managing bookmarks and visuals slows down productivity for developers due to the following limitations:
1. Bookmark Menu Auto-Closes
Right-clicking a bookmark (to Update, Rename, Move, etc.) closes the context menu after each action. This forces developers to repeatedly re-click for batch tasks.
Suggestion: Keep the menu open until dismissed or focus is lost.
2. No "Duplicate Bookmark" Feature
There is no built-in way to copy an existing bookmark. Developers have to recreate each one manually.
Suggestion: Add a “Duplicate Bookmark” option.
3. Selection Pane Deselects on Hide/Show
When hiding/unhiding an object in the Selection Pane, Power BI immediately deselects the visual, making it tedious to manage groups or alignments.
Suggestion: Retain the selection after hide/show actions.
4. No Nested Bookmark Groups
Bookmark groups are limited to a single level. Complex reports would benefit from multi-level (nested) bookmark grouping, like the Selection Pane allows for objects.
Suggestion: Allow sub-groups inside bookmark groups to improve organization and usability.
These changes would dramatically improve developer efficiency, especially in complex reports that require managing many states, layers, and navigation paths.

I would also add an option to see which visuals are included in the bookmark. When "Selected visuals" option is used it is not known which visuals are selected. This is extremely problematic for a developer who takes over a report from a different developer. - burakdemirtas

Totally agree! I didn't add it to my post because I saw it was already posted.
