For those of us developing Power BI Desktop applications designed to run locally (not from a published location) it would be very helpful to be able to assign certain actions like "Refresh" to a button on a report page. Currently, users need to find the Refresh button in the ribbon, however, assigning it to a button would make the sequence or flow of actions easier to navigate for users.
For example, I have a Power BI Desktop app where the following steps need to run in order:
1. Button for Refresh Data. (Power BI Desktop "Refresh")
2. Button for Validate Data. (Power Automate Flow that checks for problems with the data).
3. Button for Generate Text File. (Power Automate Flow that generates a space delimited text file for export into another application.)
I'd like these buttons to line up in sequence starting from 1 to 2 then to 3.
