Treemaps display hierarchical (tree-structured) data as a set of nested rectangles. Each branch of the tree is given a rectangle, which is then tiled with smaller rectangles representing sub-branches. i asked a similer question over at the community about this, with a screenshot of why this would be anice feature at http://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Treemap-quot-Expand-to-next-level-quot-vs-quot-show-detail-quot/m-p/130379/thread-id/55560
Also post-Nov update: Advanced Color Saturation is mutually exclusive with specifying a 'Detail' value. I'll like to specify both! Ideally we could map two (or more) levels and use color to communicate an additional value. I can do with R... 🙂
It would be pretty good to be able to see more than 1 detail, the complete information on the smaller areas and to maintain advanced data colors at the same time.
