Global setting to disable Auto display units (K/M/B) for Power BI

Power BI currently forces automatic display unit scaling (K/M/B) with no global way to disable it.

This creates a recurring problem in real-world reporting:

  • Every visual must be manually configured
  • Existing reports require repetitive rework
  • Formatting becomes inconsistent across pages and visuals
  • Display unit settings are harder to locate after recent UI changes

For many business scenarios (finance, operations, regulatory reporting), full numeric values are required, not abbreviated ones.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR

Provide a global setting (report-level or tenant-level) to define default display units:

  • None (no scaling)
  • Thousands / Millions / etc.

This setting should:

  • Apply to all visuals by default
  • Be overrideable at the visual level if needed
  • Work consistently across all visual type

BUSINESS IMPACT

  • Reduces manual work and report maintenance
  • Ensures consistent formatting across reports
  • Prevents user confusion from mixed units
  • Improves usability for enterprise reporting

This is a basic formatting control, but currently requires manual configuration per visual, which does not scale.
