Power BI Report Server should have an option to open the report in Full Screen mode just as it has an option in Power BI Service . When we open reports in Power BI Report Server , we can view page in 3 options 1:) Fit to Width , 2:) Fit to Page and 3:) Actual size . Issue with these three mode is the page and header consumes a lot of space and we need to scroll to view to full report .
Please, please add this. I've had so many requests from users since we stood up our Power BI report server. You lose so much screen real estate to the title bar, favorites bar, navigation bar and menu bar that the report gets really squished down. My users found a counter-intuitive trick that I hate sharing--zooming out makes the report bigger.
Please add this to Report Server. Consumers of reports get easily frustrated that they can't easily "click a button like we did in the other one" (Power BI Service). I have suggested some of the workarounds posted here, but consumers are typically not tech savvy which leads to more frustration on their part. Ultimately, this detracts from the AWESOMENESS of Power BI and the data being presented.
I did find that once you've opened the report on the server, you can add the following code to the end of the URL and you're good to go. ?rs:embed=true
Thanks for the workaround Raymond Boone. This is super helpful when it comes to presenting your reports on varying screens and conferences rooms, so that you do not have to scroll. It allows you to show how it is intended to be seen.
Dear Power BI Team, any News About this feature? Is still missing in the August 2018 release. It is important for futher acceptance of the reporting to have an easy way to switch between this modes. Many thanks
Almost year and a half since this has been backlogged and no update. This is very frustrating to our users that rather than just being able to navigate to the report and open it, they have to yet add another favorite to their long list just so they can do the append "?rs:embed=true" to the URL. The return on what seems like such a small update would be huge and would help with usability.
