Currently in the data set only fields are allowed to group under a folder. Where as allowing to group tables under a folder will help reducing creation of Composite Dataset or seperate new dataset. I will share an example where we have a shared dataset (Direct Query to Database) which all business users will use but we would like to include excel data also in the same dataset and with out informing business about what it is and who can use it is hard to make it more usable and if we have folders to segregate like Import Tables, Calculated Tables, Static Tables , Database Tables that will help business and developers to manage and maintain the dataset effectively.
