Filter bookmarks

I'm marking this idea is complete. Between bookmarking, sync slicers, and the retain filters feature in the Power BI Service, we have lots of ways to save filters, reduce the need to repeat filtering, and remember filters for later. If there is a specific use case you have not covered by one of these features, please create a new idea for it.

one of most importen feature for daly use. I want all my settings on the next day. If you want to share your analysis, it is now not possible to use this applikation, because if you have large organisations you need always to klick through the hole dimensions ( product hierarchie, customer hierarchie, costcenter hierarchie) if you like i can send you a solution - we have it implemented in arcplan. (public, privat bookmarks + sending to other people with all settings)

I should be able to create and select a bookmark. Suppose I have filtered certain charts and I want to share this with a colleague, I should be able to send a book mark to him and he could click on the same and open it. Also I should be able to save a book mark, so that on selecting the page opens according to my preferred filters.

I think for advanced users that Power BI is poised to be able to win over, this is a real head-scratcher. In large and/or complex data sets, there can often be more than one view of interest when investigating operational metrics. For example, I could be using PowerView to explore many months worth of a servers performance monitor data to determine the cause of a performance issue. What I have found is that there is often a progression of views that I work through to triage such an issue. Also, when immersed in data exploration, there can be a significant amount of rework to reverse course, as one often does. Needless to say, it is error prone and time-consuming to repeatedly work through these progressions and lose them every time. Regrettably, this isssue also exists for Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts. The point I'm trying to make is to potential voters, is that in certain complex use cases, the inability to save and quickly navigate to other saved views involving filters, slicers, timelines and layout is shifting the focus of advanced self-service BI users from the business issues they are trying to solve, to trying to find a suitable work-around to this notable gap in functionality.

After a user has applied any combination of slicers, filters and data selections to a Power View sheet, they should be able to bookmark or save the state of the sheet so that they can at any time in the future revert to that state as well as share that bookmark/state/view with other users. This is a key feature to allow for persisting and navigating view of interest, as well as collaboration, especially in the web-based Power View rendering. Competitor products such as TIBCO Spotfire have been doing this very well for years and it has been mentioned as a weakness of ours by many of my customers.

In addition to the previous comment, other tools already have similar features to save a the state as a snapshot or even save the chosen parameters used and give it a functional name. This way users can identify subset (eg multiple marketing campaign target lists) and monitor progression in time.

I would most definitely find this useful, and so would many of our customers.

This is a super useful functionality! It allows for quicker insights in case of repeated actions, as well as for nice collaboration. Is this functionality under review since December 2014? We are now in June 2016... Other competitors like Qlik Sense or Tableau have it already implemented. Microsoft?

This extremely needed. In every projects technical requirements I see this as a got-to-be feature

I would find this useful, right now I have to take screenshots of my filtered report to discuss it, which isn't as seamless as I'd like.
