File size not decreasing affter background image was removed

I originally included the same background image on all the pages of my file. The image itself was quite large (11.2 MB). My pbix file was around 104MB. I decided to remove the background image from each page, reverting back to default, then resaved my file. Even with the image removed from all pages, the pbix file size is still 104MB. Has anyone else encountered this?
