Enable “Pause Visuals” Option Per Report Page Instead of Entire Report
The current "Pause Visuals" feature under the Optimize ribbon in Power BI Desktop is a great way to reduce unnecessary queries and improve performance during report development. However, it applies globally to the entire report, which can be limiting when working with complex, multi-page reports.
I would like to request the ability to pause and resume visuals on a per-page basis, rather than across the entire report. This would allow developers to:
Focus on optimizing or editing a specific report page without impacting others
Reduce the need to pause all visuals when only one page needs to be "frozen"
Improve performance and usability in large reports with DirectQuery or real-time connections
Proposed Features:
A toggle to pause/resume visuals for the currently active page
Visual indicators on each page showing paused/resumed status
Optionally, per-visual control to pause queries individually (advanced)
This feature would be a valuable addition to the Optimize tools for developers working with large and dynamic Power BI reports.
