Fast switch between workspaces when related via deployment pipelines
Dear MS Fabric/Power BI Team,
I am writing to propose a feature enhancement for your power bi service workspaces. Currently, when creating a deployment pipeline, we select workspaces that often depict a DEV-ACCEPT/TEST-PROD environment. This setup creates a logo beside the workspace name on the left.
I believe it would be highly beneficial to transform this logo into a button that allows for fast switching between related workspaces. For example, if you are in Workspace ABC [TEST], this workspace has a corresponding productive workspace called ABC. By clicking on the button, a small dropdown menu could appear, enabling users to select the desired environment (e.g., PROD or DEV) if available.
This fast switch feature would be straightforward to implement and would significantly enhance productivity by allowing users to quickly navigate between different environments without the need to manually search for them. It would save time and reduce the risk of errors.
I am confident that this enhancement would be a valuable addition and would greatly improve our workflow efficiency.
Thank you for considering this proposal. I look forward to your feedback.
Best regards,
