FactSet has received interest from clients to use FactSet APIs in Power BI. Due to the usage of OAuth2 to authenticate to FactSet APIs, the native Web connector is insufficient to pull data from FactSet APIs. Furthermore, there is significant transformation involved to get the JSON response into a format that is conducive to visualization in Power BI.
FacSet's Formula API is widely used to pull a wide range of FactSet data, and adding support in Power BI would allow users to create reports and dashboard for their portfolios to measure and assess performance.
Power BI's charting capabilities unlock new potential to analyze FactSet data outside of the standard platforms which FactSet users currently use.
