In late 2016, we improved our export data options to allow exporting up to 150,000 rows to Excel from a visual on a Power BI dashboard for Pro users. You can read more in the documentation below: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-service-export-data/#limitations-and-considerations Many of the votes and comments on this idea were from before we increased these limits. We would like to hear from the community again about whether the new limits are sufficient, or whether more data is required. We are closing this idea, but if you still need higher limits please let us know by voting on the idea below: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/18432742-increase-export-data-limits
bump... 30k is far too small. I was pretty surprised. Is there any chance we can have an explanation as to any limit < 1M? a CSV is a simple txt file so I have a hard time understanding what drives the limit?
In the data model, you could do a copy of an entire table, but if the table is too big this is not possible. All in all, with Power BI Desktop it is possible to import a lot of data, but then you can’t export them.
