Exclude a table from refresh in Power BI Service

Ability to exclude a table from Data Refresh (scheduled, manual, API, etc.) in the Service. In PBI Desktop, we have an option "Include in report refresh" we can disable for a table. But it won't affect PBI Service.

This definitely seems like a bug.

Need this desperately, have loads of reports where 80% of the data is static and historical, which I've partitioned in datasets with no refresh required. But to no avail with the BI Service. Making me consider other solutions.

This feature needs to added into PowerBI Service. Majority of the reports have static data.

It’s a pain getting IT input a password into a shared sql database every time minor changes are made in an xl

Please make the PowerBI Service respect the option "Include in report refresh". Right now when I add a static data source (eg. zip-codes) which I don't want to refresh through the gateway, I can't use the gateway at all because he can't find the file with the zip-codes.

Is this by design so that Premium licensing is required to do incremental refreshes? I sure hope not.
